About

Hey, I’m Mickey Shiloh, CEO of HRDRV, a music industry platform supporting thousands of artists, producers, and songwriters worldwide.

When I studied Music Industry at USC in 2010, I wrote a paper predicting that music was moving toward a direct-to-consumer future, where artists would have more control over their careers and audiences.

I’ve watched that happen in real time over the past 16 years.

Releasing music has been completely democratized, but the value of a release collapsed, while the value of owning the music went the other way. And now I’m seeing that same logic spread: the resurgence of ownership.

Not just owning your music, but owning your audience, your data, your name and likeness, and your platform.

Companies like Bandcamp, Patreon, and EVEN have done incredible work giving artists more control, but each one is still a layer between the artist and the fan.

Now, tools like Lovable are making it possible for artists who aren’t technical to actually build their own technology.

Your own platform. Your own data. Your own vision.

That’s why I’m building this directory: to showcase what artists are creating, connect our ecosystems, and support each other.

Because I don’t want us building bigger audiences for conglomerates.

I want us building bigger networks for and with each other.

That’s the future I want to help create.

— Mickey
